For trekkers, mountain
addicts and lazy guys, MAC has created a full Mountain dedicated
glider.
The mountain features a
completely new concept. A new profile has been chosen for difficult
take-off in very small areas, the glider goes-up very fast. In strong
wind, it doesn't tow you away; you can afford to apply good canopy
control. With a tailwind, the canopy doesn't over-fly you, and it lifts you
up very fast. It can help a lot in deep snow! As soon as you start to
inflate the glider, it gives you excellent feed-back, and you know exactly
how things are going on: less time wasted controlling the glider by eye,
while loosing precious meters! The lines are short and few enough to help
you prepare the glider on rocks or ice, and help to make a fast start. Of
course, the material could be even lighter, but the chosen ones will last
as long as any other glider. All shock tests have been passed like on any
other regular glider. The risers allow "B" stall, and the brake handles
are big enough to hold big winter gloves. In the air, the glider is very
easy, and behaves very well in turbulence. The accelerator is very
efficient, and the canopy remains very solid at top speed. |
