Craig Morgan to fly MAGUS
MAC UK wish Craig Morgan the best of luck for the coming season. He will be flying a MAGUS proto in international competition. His first outing will be at the Polish Open at the end of April followed by the Italian PWC round during the first week of May. We'll try to keep these pages updated with his progress.

Our New Speed-Wing The Whistler

The Whistler is a glider specifically designed for the new winter sport of speed-flying with skis. A number of prototypes in different sizes were tested during last winter with excellent feedback from the pilots. After extensive testing we have achieved our goals of simplicity and durability for our new speed riding glider. We have designed a glider which is uncomplicated and easy to handle. The Whistler’s brake range is long. To slow down or increase the glide you simply add brake. With hands-up the Whistler is fast enough!

The Whistler is available in sizes 16; 14; 12 and 11. The 14m² and 16 m² sizes are for light or heavy beginners. The 12 m²size is for very experienced pilots.The 11 m² size is intended only for very light, experienced pilots and for experts. The Whistler can be delivered complete with a harness and rucksack.

We strongly recommend learning to speed-fly in an established speed-flying school which has areas specifically set aside for this new sport. Please remember that practicing on ski slopes is forbidden

MAC VELVET
Semi-reflex Paramotor wing

The Velvet is the latest paramotoring wing from MAC PARA. Designed for a wide range of intermediate and advanced paramotoring pilots, it completes the range in-between the Eden 3 and the Spice. Semi-reflex airfoils warranty good stability and a wide range of cruising speed. Launching characteristics are typical of all MAC PARA gliders. The R&D team paid extra attention to the handling of the glider during take off and to the landing flare. The Velvet will be available in three sizes - 23,26 and 29 from January 2008.

New Products announced 15 Jan 06

The Velvia, our new Mountain glider will be unveiled at the 2006 Stubai Cup.
The Velvia is a light weight version of the sucesfull Eden 3 (DHV 1-2). The Velvia uses the same construction with diagonal ribs as the Eden 3 and is made from the lightest new materials.
The Velvia will be produced in two sizes for weight ranges of 70-90 kg and 85 to 110 kg.

Wer'e working on prototypes of a new DHV 2 glider, the ENVY which should enter the MAC range between the Eden 3 and the Intox. (The Envy does not replace the Intox which remains in serial production) Due to the huge success of the Eden 3 we have used the same profiles as the Eden3. Test flights are very promising. Certification of sizes 25 (75-95) and 28 (85-110kg) is planned for April.

Competition pilots are asking for news of a new comp glider, a Magus 5; 6 or even 7.
We confirm that the Magus 4 stays in serial production for the 2006 season. Petra recently made two world record flights during the X-Ceara 2005 with it. Of course we are working on new competition prototypes but only our team pilots will test them. At the end of the year we will choose the best one to have the right weapon for the 2007 season and for the World Championship.

A new fully enclosed harness the "HOWGH" for competition pilots is now available in size Large.Sizes S and M will follow during the season

We have replaced the Bi-Zone tandem harness with the new "BZZONE". Made from lightweight Cordura in a new design similar to the Goya. It is equiped with 12 cm back-protection.

New for 2006 is the "CARRY PACK" for tandem professionals. Similar to our well known Mac Pack with additional shoulder straps and compression straps.

The XCL harness is now delivered with a fixed reserve bridle and gets a T-buckle on the chest strap.
The RIDER harness now has a plastic reinforcement plate on the shoulder similar to the Goya. The back is more rigid. The Rider is now delivered with a fixed reserve bridle.

Petra sets a new world distance record: 302 km!

The 5th day of competition at the cross country event XCeara in Quixada, Brazil, gave two new female world records to Czech pilot Petra Krausova (world and PWC champion). Petra flying a Magus 4 set a new record of declared distance of 247 km, and a new world distance record of 302 km.
